I think he would be good at either dressage or jumping in the long run. For now, I hope you focus on the basics with him. He has a great jump, but I would take it slow. He has a lot of growing to do before jumping. Have fun, he will be a great project in either discipline.

5th picture: near hind almost looking like a Paso pasturn probably just a bad angle or something I hope.

Over all he is a beauty. Nice colour, strong presence, maybe a little high in the withers but with that head, neck and a correctly placed saddle you'd never know. I bet he'll ride smooth too.

Good choice to geld him too. He is a nice looking boy but 9 times out of 20 I'd opt for gelding.

Congrats on your boy. Happy trails..er...Jumps.

    Thanks.
We're defenilty taking slow. He has had so much vacation this year that I might start all over again.
He was gelded because there was no thought to use him in breeding. And I don't see a point why to keep him as stallion. That only makes his life harder. There was a problem with his legs why he was decided not to use in breeding. One part is too long for the breed and I have no idea how this word is in English. Sorry.
But when I look at his father then I think he might do a great dressage horse. His father is just amazing in my eyes!

So it's been about 4-5 months. I didn't want to make a new thread.
So has If changed in your eyes?
We have moved quite fast so at the moment he is having a break. I thought that he could rest for 2 weeks and then I tryed to do some lunging training. But he showed some real attitude (too much energy leftovers I suppose) and now I'm home whit two broken fingers. So that means 4 more weeks for If to rest.
