I hope I have improved some since I posted up the pictures a week or two ago, you can reference those if you like. In looking through all the photos I feel like I am waiting more for my horse as opposed to jumping for him. He is doing AMAZING. Our last go around my trainer was pretty much speechless because I had corrected everything she pointed out to me the trip before. Of course it wasn't perfect ;) but its a big improvement for us. My eye is getting alot better and I am starting to be able to see strides out if I need to shorten or lengthen him to get a good distance. Anyways, here they are. Please let me know what you think and any exercises you think may help!
You two look really good. Looks like your releasing over the jump, and everything. In the 3rd picture it looks like your leg slipped back just a little bit though, that's the only think I can really see. And even then that's not really anything major. Your horse is gorgeous! And idk where you live, but I LOVE those trees! All we have here in New York are pine trees. Bleckkk! :)
Thanks! I ride in Wellington, Fl. Beautiful but hot. It's funny to hear about our riding ring because there are some very EXPENSIVE barns where we trail ride. They are HUGE top of the line facilities that these trainers come down to for only a few months during WEF... to be that fortunate. It becomes a bit of a pain because I am the only one that jumps at the barn so we have to set up and take down everytime I jump. Granted it's only once a week, but the wasps don't appreciate it much lol.
You look really good, and so does your horse. Beautiful. =]
Your back is straight and you are using your core, your legs are where they should be, and you're giving your mount a nice release. The only thing I see is your arms are super duper tense. I can't tell if you are hanging on to his mane in some of the pictures or not. So try and relax and let your body, or maybe just your arms, be supple.
