    Position critique?

This is my 5th time riding Misti. She saw something outside (people driving drafts) so we just sat there and watched.

Are my stirrups too long/short? My heels aren't down as I was just sitting there, and the same with the reins. I will get a good video tomorrow to post but this is the only photo my mom took today.

    Any critique/advice welcome!

It depends on your style of riding. Your stirrup looks nice and long enough, but if you are doing half seat riding, it should be a bit shorter.

Roll your shoulders back and down and really have a nice soft bend through your elbow. Turn your wrist so that there isn't a break between your forearm and your hand.

Hands up just a little, they should hover over her wither but no farther back than the pommel of the saddle.

I feel you should tilt your pelvis more to face upwards so it's more of a driving seat so that you don't have such a large dip in your back.

Your head seems to be craning/reaching forward. Relax and make sure it is square over your shoulders.

Your stirrups are perfect for a dressage saddle, but with a saddle like this once, it is better to shorten them. You can't get any support from this saddle when your stirrups are this long. Do you have any riding pics?

It's kind of hard to critique a person who is static, like that. Even a shot of you riding at a slow walk would be better.

The overall impression is that you are a bit slumped. Not that you should tense up, but don't let your shoulders roll forward.

Really cute horse and I get the feeling that you and she are a good match.
