Arrow Possible dressage prospect?

I just came across this 9yr old solid paint mare, 15.1hh- Your basic english pleasure horse...does a little jumping. I am hoping to use her for dressage... They are asking $2000 for her. Opinions please. Thanks!

And video (3):

Thanks!

This horse is near me, I've seen it on Dreamhorse.

She definitely is cute, but I think they're asking a little much for her.

Good luck!

Nothing as far as dressage has been done with her. She is stiff, not accepting the bit is the smallest way and is not using herself to any great degree.

A horse this age should be a little further along.

I agree with you. She needs work. She has only been used as an english pleasure horse. But conformation wise what do you think?

That is why I said she wasn't worth $2,000.

I think if your willing to take the time to train her in it, she'd do alright in lower levels.

One thing I see is she is longer in her back, and has a shorter neck.
Her longer back might cause complications if you were ever to try to do any high level things with her, it may make it harder for her.

Other than that though, she looks cute!

The shoulder is too straight ( it is OK but would like more angle) and I really don't like the haunch shape.

This guy is just $500 more...and from the looks of it FAR more worth the price

A much better "prospect" however I am concerned that this horse is being ridden so deep.
