    Potential Lease?

Hi! This is Cowboy, a 16.3hh Holsteiner, and I am looking for a Hunter horse.

If you want a low level hunter I think this horse would be fine. He moves more like a jumper though.

Yeah, low level is what I want, like 2'6 at the beginning, maybe some 3' towards the end of the summer. Schooling mostly with some rateds.

If that is what you are looking for this horse will most likely be just fine. Go ride him and see how you like him!

I am just not to keen on him as a hunter even at the lower levels. I mean he jumps, yes. But he rushes, hollows out over some fences and jumps with his head up and his nose stuck out. I would honestly look for something a little slower and consistent over fences.

Thats what I thought. I noticed he threw his head up over a lot of jumps and seemed to pop his back oddly.

I agree. He's a more jumpers type. Don't really like the rider. Maybe you should try him yourself before making a decision.

I just noticed your in MD. And you said lease. But why don't you look at some of kims horses, she's got awesome ones for free. http://www.leightonfarm.com/giveaway.asp

Barnprincess makes a good point. The rider rides him like a jumper. So maybe at least test him out yourself??

I LOVE the horses listed at Leighton, I have been stalking that site and want the grey filly on there ;) But still have to wait a for my trailer.

Best of luck! Horse shopping is hard...
