I can't give much a critique, but I can give an opinion on her for what you want. :) I would say that she would make a good first time horse. Working with her on the mouth will be good for both of you. Many barrel horses you find already started are like that. I like them to be really soft myself.

She should be good for what you need. Starting out there is no real reason to be really worried about flashy. She's sound, experienced, and slower. You've already pointed out most of her issues. I think she's cute, and overall not too bad on conformation.

Thank you!! I agree she is a nice horse. Does 900 obo sound "too good to be true" ? She IS old, and slow, so in the barrel world I guess somewhat useless to already advanced racer... but I would value a deadbroke, experienced horse way more than 900..

That said, she is not a beginner horse so does not have the kid safe appeal. She walks too fast and wants to move, move, move. After a minute she calms down though. This video was also the first time she had been ridden since labor day.

She has shoes on all year, and we went over her feet and they looked decent. No red flags but they do chip and crack easily.

If they chip and stuff easily, I would put her on some hoof supplements that you would add the the grain.
I have my horses on Biotine, not sure if that's how you spell it, I will find out right away for you.
It does wonder's for their hoof's and coats.
