    September Show

I went to a show last Saturday just for the heck of it and it was pretty fun. I know I have stuff to work on which is what my trainer is for but I promised I would post pictures so here they are.

Duster and I competed in two and three gait classes english. Being as I live in the rainyest state in the US the arena was completely bogged down and hard to manuver, even my trainer's horse was having a hard time and getting irritated despite having competed in mud before. Duster hates mud and puddles so it was a fight to keep him moving, due to the fact that I had to focus so much on just keeping him at the correct gate his headset was left to suffer.

This is only my third ride on this horse though, I was able to keep his frame and headset about one third of the time during our classes. As we compete more and show in a better arena we will look better.

Anyway I got one first, one second, two thirds and daily high point for two gait english.

Duster with my four year old cousin Aly and my two year old cousin Sarah

    Me and my cousin Aly

My trainer and her almost four year old daughter Elena in a trail class, they got second

My trainer's almost two year old daughter Sophie

    Onto the class photos

My trainer and her mare Havanah, they got like three firsts, three seconds and two thirds I think plus daily high point for english three gait.

    Well thanks for looking :]

Great photos. :) The only things I have to say are shoulders back, elbows above your hips/ back, toes in. :) Funny thing is, those are all my bad hobits- so that's the first thing I say hahah. Great job though!

Thanks yeah I love Duster, he is just an awesome all around gelding. He reminds me of Junior, but I think that my trainer's son gets a little butt hurt/jealous when I ride him. I will continue to ride Duster though unless it becomes a real problem.

I MIGHT be taking Beamer to my next show in October, but if I am not ready with her I will take Duster again.
