Show tomorrow - video of training test 1. critique :)

Hey! I'm taking Beau to a dressage schooling show tomorrow. We've taken the past year off and now we're ready to go kick some hiney (hopefully!) !

We're just doing Training 1 & 2 this time. Here is a video from tonight when we ran through our practice rides.

Somethings I know : my hands get too low/in my lap (always been a problem of mine that I work on) and I bend my wrists (work on that too). Also realized my legs went too far back when we trotted off after halting and our first trot-canter transition was late. My hands are everywhere when we're free walking, for schooling purposes only (it's hard to get a decent free out of him). And lastly, our circles aren't exactly 20m because our ring isn't the exact size of a dressage ring.

Ok, but other than that - let me know!! Thanks!

I just saw this after being away for a few days. How did you do with your test? That video looks great. I'm guessing the biggest comment on your test was needs to track up or more impulsion. You guys look great in the practice test.

Thanks! We got a 63% on test 1, which put us in 2nd. And we got a 70% on test 2, which was good enough for 1st :)

Our main issue was just being in an indoor, we just had 4 days of rain so the outdoor was very sloppy. First test was a little tense, but he really calmed down for the second one. But yes, impulsion is always something we can use!
