So today, 1/24/09 I finally got new pictures of me riding Donna. I was finally able to go during the day and have my mom take pictures and videos. It was VERY sunny out but was still only in the 30's. Sooooo cold. I hate living in Pennsylvania. The videos are pretty crappy because my moms camera isn't the greatest and there was a huge glare. Let me know what you think! This was also my first time riding her without longing her first, since I got her. In some of the pictures, I know my reins are WAY too long, I was just trying to see if she would stretch her neck out at the trot and stay at the same pace with a loose rein.
Well nevermind I couldn't get the videos to upload anywhere and I don't know why. So those are just pictures. I will have the videos another time. Sorry!
Hahaha I am sure she will be in a parade eventually. The barn I ride at usually is in a parade or two every year.
She has been doing a lot better without the martingale. I am really glad I stopped using it.
It was snowing this morning when I woke up but it stopped thankfully! I am SO ready for winter to be over. I miss being able to go out and ride atleast 5 times a week.
And I am sorry I do not know exactly what color it is. I got it off ebay for only $30. I think it's like chestnut or something. But the person I bought it from on ebay has a website. They might have horse sized ones(mine is a cob) in that color. I will get the website tomorrow. The paper it is on is in my moms room and she is sleeping right now. Or I will try to find it on ebay soon and send it to you.
She's really starting to come along even though it's freezing outside. We all know that makes the hot horses even hotter. I like her, very cute!
Have you tried doing some spiral in and spiral outs with her? That exercise will help with suppling the sides of her body. And helps with asking her to reach down with her neck some. I used that alot with a ottb I got years ago.
