What an odd photo to use when selling a horse....

I just came accross this photo today. Its a OTTB for sale.
Why would someone use a photo of a horse standing this way?

I'm not sure how appropriate it is to post someone else's photo to critique like this, but.......I agree. Most unflattering.

Oops - sorry, my bad..
I don't mean to critique the horse - just thought the photo was a 'what not to do'

Mods, if this is inappropriate, please feel free to delete!

IMO, if it was posted on the internet in the first place, they must be open to having it looked at and possibly critiqued (in the case of a interested buyer?) BUT that is just my opinon

Perhaps they were trying to park him out...I have no idea why since he's a TB and not gaited. :/ but! He could be standthing this way due to him having a spell of founder. They'll stand like this to keep their weight off of their painful front hooves. It also looks like he has an injury/hair loss on his front shoulder there.

*just a thought* a horse doesnt have to be "gaited" to park out- they just have to be Saddletype or breed specific. This is not breed specific! Maybe thye were having a tough time getting him to stand still, I just give up sometimes and take lots of pics then choose the best later. Lol

Is the mark on his shoulder next to the brand an abraision or a failed attempt to blur something out?

Maybe they just don't have a clue how to do good photos and make their horse look its best. Never the less, its a very unflattering shot.

Mark on shoulder just looks like rubbing from the rug.
