    Lightbulb Ah Ha Moments

I finally got to ride a couple of times it the past little while and I am a little rusty on my english riding skills to say the least. But any how the horse keep running around with it's head in the air and being stubborn beyond belief. The instructor just telling me to push her forward (not word or word what she said but it gets the point across). I personally thought that was crazy because the mare was just racing and I lost my stirrups and was frustrated. But I realized something had changed when the pony didn't slow down really but lowered her head, tucked her chin and pushed off from behind it felt right different. I could post easily to the trot, for once we weren't working against each other. After that I knew how to ask her properly or she was race off again. The instructor informed me that it was very difficult for anyone to get that pony to work in such a way. I think I had a heck of a learning curve all of a sudden, and one major ah ha moment. What about you? Ever get frustrated to realize your so close ?
