I started seriously riding about 5 months ago. I am on a horse 4-5 times a week, 1/2 hour at a time. It has been a nice workout for my muscles, and I have definitely become stronger. I started going into 2-point about 4 weeks ago. It hurts my ankles a lot. I mean, sometimes enough to almost make me cry, and I ask my trainer to take a break. I hate doing that. Her and I went over my leg and ankle position to make sure I was doing it right. She says it is lack of flexibility and supporting muscle that is causing the pain. We backed off on doing 2-point for as long, and we don't do it every lesson, because after doing 2-point for even a lap, I can barely put the pressure on my ankle to post. It has started to sometimes hurt lately even when I am not riding. And working 8-10+ hours on my feet probably doesn't help. Now, what can I do that will help??
Sorry for the rant, and thanks in advance for your advice. I really want to be a well-rounded rider, and I would hate to have such a limitation.
