Anyways, after an ample warmup, I set up some trot poles between my "standards" (they were very makeshift!) and she had to spook at those a few times, but got over it very quickly.
Once she was comfortable with the idea of keeping between my standards, I put it to a little crossrail. Let's just say she was not too keen about jumping it. So we walked over the first couple of times. Once she was okay with that, I asked her to trot over it. She made it very apparant that the crossrail was much too small for her ... she kept knocking it over, so I raised it to about an 18" vertical (yes, very small still, but hey, we're just getting into it!)
She jumped with flying colors! She got the right distances, and only knocked a couple of times, which ain't bad considering she's never jumped before! I only jumped her over this half a dozen times or so, then let her cool out. Didn't want to fry her little brain hehe
I'm very very very happy with how she's coming along!!
Just wanted to share!
