Anyone going to WEG?

RFDtv showed the new indoor arena in Lexington, KY in anticipation of the World Equestrian Games. I've never been out there before and am starting to get very excited to go. Just being in the land where Thoroughbreds are king is going to send shivers up my spine. Anyone else going?

Lucky bugger!!! **** Australia we never get any good big events to see. A few big hack shows but woopdeedoo so not interesting haha! Make sure you get heaps of photos, you have a very jealous Aussie waiting to see them... dressage in particular!

You're really lucky! I would love to go, but I won't be able to. There is a girl at my barn who vaults, though, and their team will be performing there! Which is really exciting, in my opinion. Do they have WEG on t.v.? i'd love to watch it if they do.

I'm really hoping to go. I will be at college in Midway which is 15 mins away from the KHP. I've been there before but it has been years!

I'm going to Rolex CCI**** this year to see people I've cliniced with compete and a horse that I knew way back when is qualified so he will be competing! Slate River. Look him up. He's amazing! Lol

Anyway, tickets are so expensive that I really only want to go to the XC if anything at WEG.

Hopefully my coach is going. I say hopefully because she ain't going to be sitting in the stands if she does go, if you know what I mean
My mum bought tickets for the dressage. I'm not going because it is right in the middle of crunch time for me (kind of like right now.. why am I on HF??).. Anyways so she is going with a friend or two or five depending on who buys tickets in the next while.
Exciting!

Anabel, it is because you find me so irresitible, so therefore you are on HF. Simple as that :)

MyBoyPuck - you have to promise to get lots of pictures if you go.

I'm going to stadium and xc too. The other event I got was dressage freestyle finals. Should be an interesting 3 days. I'll be taking tons of pics, so I'll be clogging this site like crazy come October.

Lexington is a great city. It's a small city - just big enough to be interesting, but certainly not big enough to be overwhelming. You'll have a great time.
