I didn't even know it existed before O.o but it does look fun...I definitely don't have the hand eye coordination for it though

I saw it being played at a competition a while back. Looks really great! And super fun!

You'd need a pretty small horse to play though (have to be able to get your hand about 30cm from the ground). And I think for adults you have to pick up the ball at a canter/gallop (kids can do walk or halt depending on age), which means you can't really ease into it with beginner, slow levels.

Hey guys!
Saskia, you would be surprised on the height of the horses, the average is around 16hh! I used to play on a 16.3hh and once you get the hang of 'picking up' then height is not an issue! :) and the level of play doesn't go on the age, I play in England and for new starters there are 'Novice divisions' which means basically everyone is new and does everything at walk/trot.. odd canter! There are not so many Juniors (under 16's) who play anymore :( but a few years back they were the best ones to watch! (fastest, scariest games!)

RiverBelle .. I am intrigued on Donkey Basketball!!!!!

Oh really Jen01 - that sounds good!

When I went to see it I asked around and everyone was playing it on stock horse types (15hh-ish). I asked around and it seemed it all had to be done fast, but maybe they have different classes around!
