Lightbulb Anyone show AQHA?

Im just looking to meet some people that love the same thing I do, Quarter Horses! Although the industry has become slightly rediculous. The 08 congress was highly political, and there is no way you can be competitive at the congress w/o at least 50 grand to spend on a horse.

Any comments?

I do... This was my first official year showing AQHA... No points yet but I did place a few times. My horse is only 2. We did in-hand stuff at Lexington, did an all-novice show at Commonwealth (MAQHA blackeyed susan or something like that)... did the fireworks show in Spotsylvania and then State fair... I think that's all I did this year.... It was really fun though... I'm not quite ready yet but I was really glad to get out there and get over some of the nervousness because it really is a huge step up from local shows...

a friend of mines daughter won a really nice work saddle there (they had a drawing...)

I did ok there, nobody was entered in the 2 year old class on the regular day that I was there so I did junior horse instead and then I did 3 or 4 classes on the novice day... it really was fun...

I won 3 or 4 circuit awards and the reserve 14-18 all around for the weekend. They gave out some nice prizes.

Nah. We decided not to go since the weather is so unpedictable. Its not very much fun when its 40 degrees outside and your stuck showing at 10 oclock at night (which has happened before). I don't think I'm showing again until march at the spring breakout in Lexington.

she's really small... Hollow Oaks, it's in Thornburg (Maria Harris).
