Thanks! - How has being involved with horses changed your life?
it has changed my life because, before i had my horses i didnt really have anything to do.and after i got them ive been busy every single day taking care of them and ive also met quite a few friends.its something to make money on and something that makes you want to improve your knowledge, skills, etc.to better take care of your horse friend. - What advice would you give to someone who wants to create a career with horses?
do everything you can to improve yourself.you have to be out there working every day and you have to stay on top of whats in style or whats happeining in the horse world.learn a method you really like to do your work with and stick to it. - How long have you been riding?
- for about 6 yrs.
- How much time do you spend at the barn?
- every day from 5:00-7:00
- What age do you think is a good age to begin riding or taking lessons?
- at the eraliest sign that you start to show intrest in horses.but i think no one should push their kids to ride.
- What has been the biggest challenge for you in horsemanship?
- starting a horse that has already been spoiled, beat,or has been a total nut from day one.and watching the show year go by and you cant participate because your horse is hurt.
- What’s the best advice you can give to a beginning rider?
- DONT SPOIL YOUR HORSE!!! and when you decide to get a horse/start taking lessons stick to it.make sure horses arent just a stage your going through and that its actually something that your wanting to do 1-2 times a week.
- Are there any horse-related books/videos/web sites that you would highly recommend?
- cherry hills books,horseforum.com, horse.com,and craigslist.com really helped me out!
- What traits make for the best riding instructors?
- ones that arent afraid to tell you whats wrong.
- What’s the most exciting part of horsemanship to you?
- training completly clueless horses and riding spirited horses.
