APHA classes / showing.

Hi!

I've never ever ever shown a horse in my life.... come to think of it, I never really had a horse I could show...until now!

I bought a +16hh registered apha gelding that's only 9 yrs.

And I was wondering what kind of shows are most common( at beginner level ) for paints?

Here's our local showing arena: North Dakota Winter Show

Thanks for reading :)

Congratulations! You should also check out Pinto shows. You can double register your horse, and the Pinto shows are usually more family oriented, and less expensive.

You will need to use a bit at Paint shows....I noticed you are riding in a bitless bridle. Not allowed at APHA shows. I would go on youtube and type in APHA Western Pleasure, APHA World Show and check out what it's like to ride on this level.
