Apparently Stacy Westerfall is deaf and mute! ROFL

Someone mentioned this in chat last night, and just this morning people have been sharing a facebook version of it around and it popped up on my feed. After my initial rage, I laughed so hard. Thought I'd share with the rest of you for the lols.

This girl is remarkable......
Read the info below and then watch this.
Unbeliable A deaf-mute girl, on a horse that she has ridden for THREE weeks!!, not to mention the song she picked out to dedicate to her deceased father! Listen to the announcer's voice crack! The horse she is riding is not even hers; she is training it for a client and has had it only 20 days at the time of the ride shown here.
Note that she rides without a saddle or halter and bit and (obviously) without voice commands. She is using the method used by American Indians. When you think your voice can't be heard I want each of you to watch this Video.
She has no voice. She cannot hear. Yet she has persevered and achieved VICTORY!

You'd think Ms Westfall's skills as a rider and trainer were remarkable and inspirational enough as-is, without having to make up a story to go with it. What's the point of doing that? Stupid is as stupid does.

Yeah, my Mom sent me that in an e-mail and I couldn't decide whether to laugh my ass off or roll my eyes plumb out of my head (granted, my mom is decidedly non-horsey and doesn't know anything about the show world or the people in it).

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/
