Bad riding habits. Help please!

Ok so a couple of days ago for my lesson we decided to try bareback and let me tell you I made a **** fool outta myself. Its been awhile since I've ridden bareback and I used to be able to w//t/c no problem. But anyways when I went to pick up a trot I wrapped my lower legs around my horse and he soured off and I list balance and fell. I feel like my riding has gotten worse in the last two months. Ive noticed that my lower back is becoming too stiff and ive been sitting way too forward and on my thighs. I tend to get nervous and tense. I overthink way too much and its hard to overcome. I have become way to used to riding the saddle and not with my seat and I really need some advice and help.

Do you guys have any exercises I can do on and off the horse? Thanks, Lu.

And here are a few pictures of me on a horse, I am sitting too forward correct? And one other thing, I always feel like im leaning to one side but everyone tells me im not.

Pictures fully from the side with the horse moving would be better.

If you always feel tipped to one side, you might be leaning/collapsing. I'll let other people more knowledgeable in that area direct you there.

Here is one exercise that my horse and I did when I first started to ride her bareback. (I had ridden bareback WTC before but it had been like 25 years) Ok first thing, warm up by standing on the fence stretches to get my leg over horse's back. Once realizing that isn't going to work, take my right leg in my hand and throw it over horse's back. Apologize to horse. Pet horse on neck and politely ask horse not to move for a minute. when horse starts to move assume the crash position and grab lots of mane. Do neck stretches right to left side to side to make sure nobody sees me being taken into the barn by my horse. Beg horse not to go faster than a quick walk while she takes me into the barn. More neck stretches and quick dismount. Take off halter and shamefully sulk away.

When you feel un balanced, do you feel like you are leaning from side to side or is it more of falling foward or backward? Back pain sounds ouchy...

I think if you are going to learn how to ride bareback, you jusdt have to do it a lot. start at walk only , and in a nice soft arena. be sure you look up, toward where you are going, and hold the mane if you need to.
I hardly ever ride bareback consequently, I am piss poor at it. but when I do, I get in trouble if I look down. it's the curling over that causes you to loose the balance over your seat bones, then all you have left is grip.
