Congrats! :) canter tends to be an easier gait to sit to bareback, because you don't bounce around as much haha. I find it easier if you lean back only slightly more than you usually would, for some reason it just makes you feel more balanced. But well done :) took me a while to get the hang of riding bareback, but now I do it all the time! Its not so much fun on my TB though, because he has really high whithers & a boney back lol
Just thought I would share my progress with you guys last night I went for my first bareback ride outside of a yard on my TB mare Pocket and I managed to canter (i am not very good at riding so this is a big step for me!!) I was very happy .............
Very glad for you.
Saturday I wanted Jody to trot and she said, ''let's skip trot." She loped. It's awesome, you know. (Though it only five paces.)
Wow! Congrats! I am always impressed with those who do that! I myself am not that brave! That, and both of my horses have high withers, which makes bareback riding a bit uncomfortable...
Hahahaha I have a pony that I used to ride and you would hop off after a bareback ride and you wouldn't be able to walk propaly because of her back bone hahahahaha my mare now though has a really good back so it is really easy to ride her!!! But my dads clyde x tb is great to ride bareback because his back is like a barrel hahahahaha thanx guys!!!!!
