confused and frustrated

So I'm a full time college student with a year and a half to go till I graduate. I live at home and until about 7months ago I was working. Between my mom and I, we have 4 horses and now she has decided that she wants to show. She pays me every 2 weeks for doing all the ranch work and up keep imstead of hiring someone and I also am training her horses. My problem is that I feel guilty about riding and especially wanting to show because I technically don't have a job. She pays for my school and car insurance too untill I graduate. I feel so guilty cause I feel like Im always spending money or thinking about horse shows but she and my better half tell ms not to worry about it and that they don't want me to work while Im in school. I feel sooooo bad and I know money is a bit tight these days...I don't know what to do! Has anyone had a similar experience or any advice. I almost feel like not riding anymore

Here's how I see it. They are supporting what you do and are not complaining. I know it must bother you and I'm sure you've expressed yourself about it to them. But if they say not to worry about it then don't. Think like this. When you finish school pay it forward. Appreciate all that is done for you now and when you graduate and find a job, try and pay back what you can. Pay for hay or some classes in showing. Anything will be better than ignoring it and continue to have things paid for you. It will work out in the end. Don't give up riding. I'm sure that's the last thing they would want you to do. You'll get through school and eventually pay what you can. Good luck

If your mom is OK about it why not? Unless you are begging her for money I don't see anything too bad about it.
