Constant rain preventing me from riding.

Just wanted to vent since I know you all will understand my pain. I'm in Miami for the summer and it has rained every day since I got here. Not just a light rain either, but heavy rain (no lightening/thunder).

I haven't ridden in 3 weeks and I can almost feel my muscles "locking" up LOL I know when I ride again, I'm going to super sore. I started working with a new dressage coach before I came here and I was excited about keeping up with my training.

To make matters worse, I can't find any stables/farms with a covered arena. I would brave driving in the rain, if it meant I could ride. I keep watching horse videos and movies to hold me over, but I think its making me miss riding even more. (sigh).

Thanks for "listening." What do you do when you can't ride because of the weather?

I GO CRAZY!
The thing that gets me even more is when you have an amazing horse on pasture rest when the weather is AMAZING it suck to have a horse with an injury already but even more when it ends up being during the best time of the year to ride!

It sucks doesn't it!!! So ready for my mare to be better! She is so very important to me and I have worked my butt off to turn her into the barrel horse she is but dang it if she is not accident prone! I swear to be the diva she is she never has the little injuries she has to be the one that has a pulled tendon or a big chunk missing out of her shoulder! I swear I am rapping her in bubble rap one of these days!

Eliz - 3 months sounds rough indeed. I know what you mean about being out of shape.

I just found a Horsey channel!!!! I rarely watch TV, I pretty much just record all my shows and watch them when I have time. Well I was looking for something to watch since i'm not at home and found the horsey channel!!! I just caught the back end of a tv show about Parelli horsemanship. Anyone else have this channel? RFDTV?
