    Consultation at a barn!

So I'm super excited and super nervous! I have a consultation at a barn where the trainer does dressage. I've been wanting to learn it for a while, but haven't gotten the guts to do so. So as everyone knows i've been posting about working for lessons. Well, they are actually hiring for chores, and working some of the horses. I'm so nervous. She is a local trainer that puts on clinics and stuff. She is super nice over the phone and wants to have a consultation on Monday. Spend an hour or so touring the barn, and going over stuff. The job would entail I'm guessing feedings, cleaning, lounging (how much I don't know). Is there anything I should know before I go, or anything I should ask? I want to make a good impression, and sometimes when I get nervous, the stuff I know somehow falls out of my brain lol. Any suggestions welcome! Thanks :)

Good luck. I'd sit down and write down a list of questions you have, and go over that list a few times. I think you should find out how many hours you need to work to the amount of lessons you will get, and what the lessons involve. Don't be too pushy, but don't be a push-over, either. Make sure you think the trade of work for lessons is fair, or at least something you are willing to tolerate.

Ok thanks! I think what makes me feel even more nervous is that I know NOTHING about dressage. I think I might do some research this weekend.

Hey that's so cool, I'm glad you found a trainer! And that would be great if you got a job there!
