Danni and I

I haven't posted pics of my boy (or myself) in a while, so here's a few to entertain you all...Since I've gotten him home, in mid June, he has learned how to relax alot, especially undersaddle; we're still working on the occasional "barn sour day" issue, but atleast it's only an occasional thing now, and not an everyday I work with him issue. He loves to jump, too, so on days that he does well on flat work, I reward him with a few run throughs. I'm by no means an expert jumper, so critiques are welcome; I know my leg slips back, and I might be 'overjumping' with him...

When I got him, too, when I asked for a halt and for him to stand and relax, he wouldn't do it for more than a few seconds; now, he will stand for, like, ever...thus, the standing on him, and laying on his butt pic...I think he's finally happy to have a person who spends time with him that doesn't just include riding!

Anyway...here's the pics...

And these are all Clickable thumbnails!!!!

Very cool. He is adorable.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Thanks...He's getting to be quite the lover too; he's starting to follow me everywhere without needing a lead rope, even out of the pasture.

They are both french braids...basically one 'over' the other. The top one is just a normal one (not as intricate) as you would see on, like, a hunter horse), and then the other is the tail hair that is left. My last horse I could do Three of these braids on, with the last one being a standard braid. On Danni, I can't go down very far on the top braid, yet, because his 'baby' hairs at the top of his tail head are so short still, so in order to keep the top braid I kept it shorter.
