I think im going to go for it. If worst comes to worst, I can always cut back to one horse. But I do think i'll need to.

I've ridden the last three days in a row, and my body HURTS! Its not used to this kind of abuse! :P

I'd say go for it! It sounds like a great opportunity and your friends and family should understand that.

You are never better than anyone. Every rider has skills they need to improve. The only one you must compare yourself with, is you.

I am with horses seven days a week. I teach riding lessons on Monday through Wednesday, and am gone to show Thursday through Sunday night late. When I don't have a weekend show, I am training and riding either my horses or someone else's horses.

You literally have no time to do anything else but horses. I don't have friends I hang out with outside of school, and I have very little interaction with my family.

Is it worth it? Riding and competing horses is a wonderful experience. I've learned a lot and have had some times I wouldn't trade for the world. I really enjoy it. However, a demanding schedule leads to stress and neglecting yourself and your other relationships. Sometimes, you just want a day off. But you've built up so much responsibility that you're trapped.

I work full time and ride 5 days a week. The weekdays that I ride, I'm lucky to get home before 10pm.
