I'm sure this is a total newbie question. I read posts about people saying certain horses seem more english vs. western vice versa. Is this because of how they move? For instance, if they are more forward maybe they should be english?
I don't exactly know the history of my horse, Dancer. I ride him in a western saddle 95% of the time. I have used a dressage saddle a few times and had dressage lessons. The girl that I have leasing him uses an english saddle. Does it really matter that we flip flop? He does like to be forward and I do have trouble getting him to do a nice slow jog vs. a fast trot. (I think its me because other people make him go slow.)
Does it only matter if I plan on showing him?
