Talking Favorite Part of riding bareback

Well I just got home from the barn and I rode bareback after our hour work out as a cool down for both of us. I do it pretty often, I love it. I love being able to feel Beau move and all of his muscles moving. I also find it to be relaxing. He is sorta boney but it doesn't bother me much. What is everyone else's favorite part?

Your horse is an extension of you.

I love riding bareback. It helps me feel the horse move more and concentrate on how he moves. It's also great for helping your seat. I really like how free you feel though, no saddle, no saddle pad, just you and the horse.

My favorite part is the cantering!

It is that connection, that freedom. Being able to know that you can throw on a halter and go on and ride as long as you want, doing whatever you want and just enjoy that relationship with your horse. It's also that pleasure and comfort you get when going to full riding with tack. You can always feel how much better you're improved and gives you that much more appreciation for your horses movement.

The connection you get when you're riding the horse. Just the feeling of the horse beneath you whether bareback or in the saddle is awesome!

when I was a kid my dad made me learn to ride bareback before I could use a saddle....i always thought it was sooo mean because all my friends got to use saddle...looking back it made me develop my balance and now after all these years without riding I found now that im getting back into it I still have that balance....it's my fav. Time when I just go out with halter/lead and ride my horse, I couldnt be more relaxed and eather could she!!!!nothing expected out of eather of us

no time is wasted spent in the saddle

I love bareback turns at speed. When you don't even get close to losing your balance, you feel proud. It's like you're moving fully with the animal.
