For a long time now I have not been able to keep my balance and stay in the saddle at the canter. I've always been really bouncy and had a hard time leaning back and keeping my weight in the stirrups.
Well, Today I got it!!!
For the first half of the lesson it was like usual.. tense and bouncy. But then I started getting a really bad stomach cramp, so I took a break and jumped off, and my instructor climbed on and showed me what I do while cantering, and then what I SHOULD be doing.
Seeing it helped HUGE. When I got back on, I asked for canter from the walk, instead of that horrible fast trot which freaks me out.. and it was like floating.
I was so happy.
I didn't come out of the saddle AT ALL. It was like I was glued down.
So that's my happy story today!
