Finally rode her for the first time! :)

I finally rode my horse for the first time! I haven't ridden a horse in about 2 years. I rode her Saturday but didn't get any pictures, so when my Mom came to get me to take me home I got some pictures of me sitting on her. Here she is! She rides beautifully and the cutest trot ever! The last few pics are some fun I had with her the night before. Enjoy!

Haha love the captions and she's such a cutie! What are you planning on doing with her? What's her story? :)

But pretty pretty please don't mount her while she's on cross ties

^second that about sitting on a tied horse; regardless of how calm. I've heard countless stories of people and horses injured badly because 'normally calm' horse flipped out while standing tied with a rider. A young girl at a riding club I used to ride at got killed that way...never a good idea, no matter how good your horse is. He is and always will be a fight or flight animal.

BUT CONGRATS on the first ride; two years is a long time to go without riding!!! Your pony is super cute. What are your plans for her?

Thanks! She was given to me in November she is about 6 years old, I'm pretty sure she is a Pony of the America's or POA X Appaloosa. She is the sweetest pony ever! She is learning voice commands and quite the treat stealer! She listens to everything I say and everything else! All around great pony! I've also come to the conclusion that she is Bomb-proof! Doesn't spook at much of anything, and I love her to death!

And I won't again mount on cross ties again. My Mom came to pick me up and wanted a few quick pictures on her.

I know I was naughty girl for sitting on her with crossties.
I plan on her just being a trail horse, learning to jump on her and start barrel racing her for fun and learning everything! I'm going to learn bareback riding on her and learn more western riding also. So any tips, or pointers are more than welcome!

To add to the not in cross ties part, don't ever be mounted under a low roof like that either.

She is a real cutie :)
