First lesson.....!

No, not me, but a friend.

He approached me a couple of weeks back, asking how he went about getting lessons and working with horses.

Initially, I said he should try and get a short lesson at one or other of the riding schools I go to, but added that if he wanted to know more about working with horses, the best thing to do would be to come up and help out at Riding for the Disabled.

This he did, and he thoroughly enjoyed it (I think he likes Ace! ), so he went off and booked a lesson at one of the schools I suggested.

So now we're both due to go for a lesson on Friday morning...!

Well, he survived! Although I think he's a little "broken"

He did OK for his first lesson, and was getting into the beginnings of a rising trot. I think a few more lessons and he'll have it down!

Mind you, he now appreciates that it's not as easy as he thought!
