First ride!

Yup, my man got his first ride with me yesterday evening. I've had him for alittle while now, but I was more focused on him adjusting and getting used to us first. We worked with him alot of getting him in the bridle, he didn't take the bit that easily, but after some work, he takes it much better. Anyway, my husband kept a rope on him just in case he decided to bolt after I mounted. Sundance did wonderful. He was abit antsy when I mounted, but after he settled he was perfect!! I'm so impressed with him, he's a great horse in every way! Well, I just wanted to brag abit!

congrats to you and Sundance! I just had this experience with my boy, so I know how thrilling it is, especially when they make you proud by not doing something stupid! Here's to many more great rides together!

Congrats! When I took my first ride on my gelding last year when I started him (he was two), he did really good... I know what it feels like... like nothing in the world can compare to what you and your horse achieved...

Sounds like it! I think we can all remember the 'First Rides' on our horses. I have had a lot of first rides =D if that makes sense :/ lol.
