first time riding in over a year!

Well, I just got done riding a horse for the first time in over a year! I am so happy right now! I've fallin in love with horses all over again! It's funny b/c the instructer is portugese and he doesn't speak very good english and he thouhgt I said I had never ridden a horse before so he put me on a very beginner horse. After the leason he apologized about it and showed me what horse i'll be ridding next time and that horse looks crazy! Lol. Someone told me he likes to go fast.

Well, after the first 5 min.s everything started coming back to me and as soon as we started troting I got on the correct post at the right time with out noticing it. Gosh i've missed riding so much!! I'm so happy to be back in the saddle.

Congratulations and have fun in the future I also had a year where I couldnt ride a few years ago, because we never found a stable, but like you once I started again it all came flooding back, I had to canter my firsst lesson back and I thought I would never be able to do it but I had no trouble getting back into it, oh the marvels of riding . Oh yes it is a good feeling! Lol. I just had my second lesson today and I rode a really fast horse. But I was the line leader like I used to be in england but it was different this time b/c I couldn't understand a single word he said. Lol, but I got used to it fast. And we're going on a trail ride for our lesson on monday! I'm excited!

Congrats! I just had surgery and forced to take the next year off to allow for my injury to heal. Just had a year off riding to allow another injury from healing. I can only understand all to well how it feels to be back in the saddle!

Oh wow, that really sucks. I've never had a serious injury from riding. Just a really swollen leg and rather large bruise from being kicked but I got back on the very next lesson.
