Post The Giddy Up

Hello!

My name is Tanner, and I am in an engineering course in school. My partner for the course and I are possibly designing an assistive stirrup that hangs down from the actual stirrup, for people to get onto a horse easier. The name of it is the Giddy Up. It would portable and collapsable, so wherever you get off the horse, you can get back on. I know some people in my family have trouble with getting on our horses, and was wondering if you all had the same.

If you could take this short survey, it would help us a lot! We really appreciate it!

Oh, I was unaware. Anyway, we can improve upon this design, making a better, more user friendly mounting stirrup.

If you could take the survey, it would really help us. It will take at max 2 minutes. And if you have any suggestions, please reply!

Thank you.

Also have a little stool that can be folded up and taken with you.

I have the first two. Take one with me whenever I ride just in case.

I'm sorry theGiddyUp, I went to take your survey but you need to rethink it.

You are making an assumption that this hasn't been tackled already. There are many solutions out there.

Either you need to rethink what your project is, or you need to research all the existing solutions or understand how you could improve them.

Funny how one of those listed by Palomine has the girl putting the wrong leg in the stirrup

Wait, I see now! You put the right foot in, then the left, then swing over! Ahah!

I have to say I didn't know these existed and I have huge trouble getting on my horse after a back injury. I think your survey might be a little bit on the wrong track. Its not all about the price, its about a good product . I think you need to have a design which somehow improves on whats already on the market.

I like the look of the extra stirrup that hangs lower, but my australian stock saddle doesn't have a horn so that model wouldnt work for me. Maybe that's something you could look at redesigning? (Unless it exists already of course!)
