My friends say it has to do with sex. Like you're more open or something? It's hard to get a straight answer--my mom says that everyone's body takes tampons differently. I have had a few I liked, I think they were the Always ones.

^You get used to having it in. After the first time it's much easier. I use Playtex Sport protection tampons when I ride. Its always protected me lol. When I don't feel like using a tampon and want to use a pad(which is rarely), I use Always Infinity.

To see the wind's power, the rain's cleansing, and the sun's radiant life, one need only to look at the horse.

I wear overnight pads with flexi-wings. The wings help it stay in place, while the overnight pads are long and very absorbent. I have worn tampons when riding, but I prefer wearing pads.

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail...

I mean I've used tampons before, but usually when just chilling or swimming. I'll try the sport ones, but I find pads much much much more comfortable.

Those two brands/models worked best for me also.

I'll try it out.

I guess I'm still putting them in wrong. =/ I feel so stupid, lol. I'm like sixteen, been menstruating for five years, I just haven't ever really used them much.

I don't even pay attention anymore. Whatever I grab of the shelf in the morning is what I stick to throughout the day. I find they both work just fine for me if the need arises for me to play jockey.

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.

I use O.B tampons for every day use and for riding. I find them easier to deal with and while it does take a bit to get used to no applicator, the tampons with applicators never seem to go in just right for me.

I only ever wear tampons wore a pad the first time I got my period then I changed to tampons. When your riding all day I feel much less self concious about using a tampon.
Have you tried inserting only when you on a heavy day that would make it easier also.

You might never find that tampons work well for you. We are all a little different shape and size. There is nothing wrong with using pads. There are lots of woman who use nothing but pads.
