I know how you feel, trust me. But just enjoy your horse. Your horse doesn't care if he's with other people or horses, all he wants is you. If you trained your own horse, Congrats! I have always wanted to train my own horse, and when I do - I'll ride him every day. No matter what anyone says. Just be yourself. People will judge you, me, and people will judge them. It's a part of life. What you gotta do, is keep your head high and and fun. If they don't like you for not boarding your horse or not having a trainer, that's their problem. I am very happy that you trained your own horse and you take care of him. In my opinion, people who don't take care of their own horses, they don't care at all for them. It would seem to me like they're only in it for fame, or whatever. Maybe they're jealous that you take care of your horse, or you trained it yourself. You just gotta ignore people like that. It's hard I know, but once I started ignoring people like that, I became a happier person. I am still learning who I should trust and shouldn't trust, but in the end it'll all work out.

Solon - Perhaps I have lost touch a bit.

Teenage girls can be completely awful (that much I remember), and at that age I know it seems so important. But taking a step back and understanding that people's opinions are relevant only to them can help I think. Building up popular people to mythical proportions is something that a lot of people seem to do (look at the modern celebrity!) and realising that they're just an ordinary person who has their own ordinary opinion can make things seem a lot more manageable (I think).

That's why I quit 4-H and just got a regular instructor. Too many politics and power struggles for me. I haven't seen a single person from my old 4-H club at any of the shows I've been in.

Meh, forget about them. If they, or at least that Emma girl was it?, if they or she look down on you its a character floor they have, its not a character floor you have. Im guessing your still young, and all I can say is that though it all may seem important now eventually you will see that its only people like them who do think that kind of stuff is important. The funniest thing is that when everyone else around them grow up and realise just how meaningless that kind of stuff is and they don’t they are the ones that become something of an object of pity and amusement. Some people need to make others feel bad to make themselves feel good, that's THEIR problem, not yours. Just treat everyone with the respect you would like them to treat you with and the people who count will respect you as you deserve.

Thanks guys! I think I already know what I'm going to do when 4-H starts back up again-- kill em with kindness/ignore them and enjoy Squaw!
And amberly-- thank you! I am currently training my mare with help of a professional, but I'm in there doing most of the work :)
And jumamji- things do get pretty tough in 4-H, doesn't it?
AnrewPL- yeah, I am pretty young yet :p, 13. So, thank you for your advice :)

Thanks also to Celeste and Cruiser for talking to me and listening and checking back up on this thread :)
Thanks to EthanQ, I know, isnt it sad? My horse is probably one of the ones not professionally trained nor am I ever willing to give them any kind of drug or risk my horse in any way to win! I'm glad I'm talking to someone who understands that! :)
