Default This is going to sound stupid but...

I want to train for another event I really do my horse is great at western pleasure, horsemanship, and reining. I often feel like we should do more. Champ hates routine hates it so in western pleasure we do very well but its boring for me and him. I would love to try cutting and I might get the chance if I can get a hold of a trainer. Reining well I love it Champ does too the adrenaline the speed it is just amazing but there is no reining shows around here maybe two a year but I will keep improving. I love western hosremanship so I will keep training him for that.
So english or western ? Hunter? Jumper? English pleasure? Equitatation? Western riding? anything else? Should I try something new?
You can see some pictures in my past threads.
Thank you Tasia

Well, that's totally up to you! Do any of those sound particularly interesting to you? If they all seem about equal, I'd definitely recommend reading more in depth about each discipline and considering what would work well for you and your horse. Good luck =)

Your so lucky to have such a versatile horse. I'd say give jumping a try. Its always a great skill to have a good jumper, and its fun too.

What about gaming events? Barrels, poles, jumping 8, etc?? Those can be very fun, if you're looking for something fast.

If you want something more 'focused' I'd go with dressage.

Ya I don't really like games. I prefer performance like events.
Dressage would be great. I think Champ could do it well because he is a great mover but I have no idea how to do it.

Well, lessons are always great but if you have no instructors, just read lots of books and try and put that into action on your horse.
Some instructors actually run video lessons where you send in a video and they will critique you, point out things you need to work on and some even send back another video of them riding and showing exercises you can do.

I have you considered events that comament each other like reined horse horse and reining. And the most you do with your horse the better it will be, its mind will have to work more.
