    Talking Great Lesson Today!

Today was wonderful! The weather was perfect, the arena was nice and dry, and I got to ride my two favorite horses!

I started out on Moon, the big, slow, lazy Percheron. It was a battle to keep her going and turn her without her slowing down to a walk, but after some kicking and growling, she got the message and acted great! I even got to canter and hand gallop on her. For such a giant, she has a lovely canter. (It only it was easier to get to her STAY cantering!)

Then I got to ride Cody bareback and bridleless! It was a lot harder than the trainer made it look, but I got him to turn a few times, go from walk to trot and back, and stop. It was pretty fun to trot around with my hands out like an airplane.

I have to say, this lesson ranks as one of the most fun I've ever had.
