Our riding coach scheduled a group lesson today to work on getting our horse using to be cut off in the ring (happens a lot when you are showing, my horse was kicked at recently, he is nervous now), getting used to riding between horses and other traffic problems. My daughter had her new horse which she will be showing this year and another student was there as well. Later we worked on my favorite (NOT)-patterns. I am so bad at riding patterns, I forget elements, doh:-o. Anyways, some pics from this morning, it rained some, then poured lots, then some sun, yay.

That's such a good idea from your instructor! The photos look great, I don't ride western so don't know what to really look for. I had a similar practice with my own horse today, the stables were busy with another rider in the ring and some one else lunging in the other ring. My mare came from a very quiet farm so she isn't quite use to lots of riders and horses around.
I ride & show English as well, in fact I am much better at it than western. I show open both but I need the practice western, but I like english better. Our instructor is very good, in fact the best I have ridden with in 40 years of doing this, anytime you mention something you need work on, she develops a program for you.
That was a great idea on your trainers part, we did a similar thing with my gelding before our first show, after doing it a couple times both of us improved a lot. You horses are beautiful by the way
I'm not going to be any help here at all, but I just wanted to say that I love the trees in the background. We don't have such trees around here, so I find them lovely!
You, your daughter, and your horses look lovely as well!
