Had my first fall

Sooo, I had my lesson last night. Somehow we got on the topic of falling off horses and I told my trainer, I've never fallen before. I've come close, but cling for dear life! Well, I'm working on my mare's canter and transitions in and out of the canter because she likes to bolt out beneath me going into the canter and goes into the worst trot ever coming out.

Well, I also have my wonderful saddle that I absolutely love, but have a neoprene cinch on it...not anymore. The neoprene cinch with the dropped rigging would work it's way loose everytime. We're transitioning out of the canter and I feel the saddle start to slip. I'm scrambling trying to stay on and there was no hope for that. Saddle slid and I got dumped. I must admit it was not as bad as I thought it would be and thank God my horse didn't spook or move after the saddle slid all the way around and dumped me on the ground.

It may not be considered by some a "true fall," but for me it's my first time landing in the dirt. Oh, and for those wondering, I am switching to a mohair roper cinch.

I never had my neoprene slip but my horses chiropractor told me my horse was stiff because of the cinch, so I switched to a mohair roper cinch and I love it. I havnt had any problems and my horse doesn't get stiff anymore after a good workout.
I havnt been thrown ever either but I have slipped off a few times when I was bareback.
The other day my horse had been stalled for awhile because of bad weather. I decided to ride him on a halter out to his field, which is a good mike away. I knew he might try something but I felt ready to take him on! Well right when we get outside he decides it is time to buck like crazy. Well I decide it's time to jump off and TEACH him what bucking causes people to do "still don't know if my response was proper".
Well I got off and nailed him in the gut with the flat top of my foot twice. I imagine he thought I was going to kill him because of the look in his face.
I lunged him for a couple minutes the jumped right back on and I must say, he was quite the angel afterwards;)
