had my first lesson after 9yr...

So I had my first lesson last night after 9yrs off not riding!!! Love love loved it!!!! Can't believe I stoppped riding for so long hehe!! Got a fantastic teacher made me feel at ease straight away and my group are all great!!! She didnt want to be to harsh on me but by the end of it she had me cantering,still need a bit more practice at it yet ;) my legs and bum are KILLING me now lol thank god for arnica gel hehehe :) can't wait till next week!!!

That's great that you're back in the saddle! Maybe try stretching those leg muscles before your lesson to loosen 'em up for riding. I don't think there's really a butt muscle stretch........... or, I'd hate to see what it would look like at least haha. But no matter how it sounds, it's good you're in pain, it means you were working!

I think im going to have to!! Haha!! And it can't be helped the horse im on is sooo laid back im constantly on his case just to keep him walking otherwise he will just stop hahaha maybe they'll change it next week!!! :)

I've definitely had some of those lazier ponies. It's goooood exercise for those calf muscles! Toned legs here you come!

How nice that you are back into riding again. It really is a lot of fun, isn't it? As for the school horse being lazy, well, they often are. Might be good to carry a crop.
