Has anything happened to your riding hat?

Like, has it ever been broken, or cracked, or whatever?

At my old barn a horse spooked and kicked out, caught my hat, and broke it in half! End of that hat

One time my hat was on the floor (I know: big no no), anyway, Sarge came over to say hi, stepped in it, and cracked it so bad I heard it crack and the top popped off! LOL that was the end of that hat.

My friends dog chewed her hat. Its still perfectly usable, just has teeth marks in it, and on the front, a big white patch where you can see the actual helmet LOL. Needless to say she doesnt wear that hat to shows

Has anything like it ever happened to your hats?

My stepmothers bulldog ate her simple plastic white helmet, and the foam was strewn all over the lawn! (that didn't matter so much, she had pretty much given up riding and I got a free Clydey out of it ;D)

The same bulldog chewed the buckle to my microfibre suede helmet. It's still useable and it clasps shut fine. For safety's sake (and because I'm re-starting showing and Pony Club.. I don't think it'd pass gear check haha) I'm saving up to buy a new one and I'll use the other as a 'back-up' or spare.
