Helmets

I'm in the market for a new helmet. When I started riding about 10 years ago I had a skull cap that fit me great (size 0 or 6 1/2 - yes, I have a tiny head); I used that for about 7 years and was very reluctant to change. I got that in the UK when I was still there and about 2 years ago I got a cheap troxel in the US (my mam was footing the bill for a Christmas gift and refused to spend any money). The store I got it from didn't have any skull cap type of helmets for me to try, and most of their nicer helmets they didn't carry in such a small size.

So i've been looking at the Charles Owen jr8 or gr8. I would love to try one on and see if it has that skull cap type fit, the longer/less round helmets don't really fit me too well. However, no one near me has it in stock. Can anyone who has one give me a general description of the fit?

Anyone else who either has a skull cap/helmet that fits like a skull cap please recommend me a brand.

I have a Harry Hall Legend
Fits like a skull, it's the perfect shape for my head
Wasn't too dear and looks great!
I too have a round head, those oval shaped hats hurt me!

I'll look into that hat thanks. Yeah, the fitter at the tack shop I first went to told me to stay away from the oval shaped ones. :(

If I'm not mistaken, the CO JR8 and GR8 are oval. The AYR8 is round. I just got one (its in the mail) for $184 shipped from Amazon UK (Horse and Rider Express supplies it to them)

I have a Champion Pro Plus skull cap and I bought mine from Countrywide Stores here in the UK. I think the next best up for a skull cap is the Champion Ventair Deluxe.

I've got a round head, but wanted a nice smart peaked hat - so have got a swede Champion peaked hat that fits me like my C&O skull does, but better as it has the lace fitting at the back. Just in case it's fit that is putting you off a peaked hat. Otherwise, the Champion skulls I'd 100% recommend as well.
