Trained
A quarter pirouette is exactly how it sounds - a quarter of a pirouette. You only ask for a couple of steps of the movement, then ride out again. It's a good training exercise to build up a horse's strength to sit behind. It is also good to only ride a quarter pirouette in training rather than a full pirouette, so that you don't lose any quality of the movement and the horse stays confident to those aids.

Is your horse ready to be doing pirouette work?
