Red face Horse consistently drops in to the right

I hope that's the correct term for it ... anyhoo, I have my very first horse, and he's perfect for this middle-aged lady who still things she's a young'un. 10-yr old quarter horse with reining foundation, "broke to death", more stop than go, etc., etc. He's lazier than all get out, and I'm completely okay with that. Here's my problem ... every time we ride in the arena (which is always right now up here in freezer-land) he drops in to the right whenever we are circling that way. Now I've identified a few things I know I do wrong:
- I tense up on my right side and tend to pull up on that rein
- my left leg often has very little weight in the stirrup

So that's obviously the main issue, and I know it's my fault. But even when I am definitely holding the reins evenly and weighting my left side, he still does it. He does it at the walk (but corrects with my right leg aid), a bit more at the trot (again, will usually correct) and then it's really bad when I try to lope him ... he'll drop in about 30 feet before finally starting to lope. He rarely does it to the left.

Do any of you have any drills we can be doing together? I am well aware that I am the problem and not him - no false beliefs about that one. But I need to work on this, and am not sure how to. I do have a trainer, but am unable to haul to get to her for lessons while it's so cold here (-28 yesterday). So for the time being I'm on my own.

Any ideas?
