With some help along the way, I've gotten 2-Pak to the point where he can be reliably ridden, by himself, on most any trail, and is no longer a danger to himself/his rider/others if something scary comes along. I also got him to load in a dark trailer at night without hesitating. It seems like only a few years ago that everyone dubbed him "crazy", "stupid", and "dangerous" and several people suggested taking him to slaughter rather than keep putting time, money, and energy into his training... and he never in his life has caused a person to require a trip to the emergency room!
I raised Bandit from the day he was born into the amazing boy he is now. He's won grand champion in weanling halter (after I was told by another competitor that my "mixed breed trash" doesn't belong in the same arena as her purebred colt.), and consitently placed every year after in halter, against purebred, papered horses with much more professional trainers than myself, I'm sure. He's learning to pull a cart now, too, and is doing amazingly, considering the fact that all I know about driving is the little I picked up from my grandfather before he died, and what I've learned both on this forum and another that I frequent. (Almost no one around here drives horses. :p)
