TrailMeister has been asked to attend the Tahoma Chapter of Backcountry Horsemen of Washington’s (BCHW) annual fund raiser at the Danville Georgetown trail system in Maple Valley (not too far from Seattle), WA on Saturday, Sept, 10th on this year. We’ll be talking about how to use a map and compass, trail tips for safe riding, and of course about great places to ride and camp with your horses and mules! If you’re going to be in the area we’d love to see you there. Click here for more info.
We’ve also been contacted by the Backcountry Horsemen of California to speak at their annual rendezvous in 2012. No hard details on that event just yet. We spoke on land navigation for horsemen at the Backcountry Horsemen of Washington’s Rendezvous this past spring and it was a hoot, so if California is anything similar it’ll be a great time with fun and learning for all.
These two upcoming events really make me grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given to provide trail riders and equine enthusiasts with trail information, and coaching on how to stay safe on the trail and in the backcountry. So far this year we’ve spoken to 11 groups, in 4 states, on topics including our “Be a Ghost Rider” LNT series, and “Staying Found; Navigation Basics for Horse riders”.
That being said, if you can make the time we’d love to see you in Maple Valley in September.
All the best,
