    I'm so glad that your horse got a lot happier with your following Linda's directives! Some high-level teachers say to collect the horse up so that his head is fairly still & thus not drawing your arms back & forth, but if what you did made such an improvement, that's a start.

    If Linda's available for ongoing lessons, you owe it to yourself & horse to take from her. Human egos must cede to the needs of the horse & rider; Deb will hopefully see this, & be motivated to gain skills rather than get mad.

    I love those learning moments too! I've had quite a few - mostly when I've been out on the trail. Sometimes things just click for us and our horses with or without help from others. I'd see if you can talk to your usual trainer about what's happened and ask her advice on it too. She'll probably learn from it as well. :)
