I just want to ride!!!!

As some of you know I have been cleaning barn and doing chores 3-4 times a week where I board. But I have only ridden like 2 times in the last 2.5 months!!! it is killing me (not really, but you know what I mean). The days I go up I leave work at 2:45 and then get up there at 3:30-3:45 (depends on traffic) and by 5 it is totally dark.

The problem is a lot of the times my horse and hers doesnt get out of the barn unless I let them out. Her husband is scared of the horses and she isnt suppose to be in or around the barn (because of chemo) So I have to turn the horses out for exercise and then it doesnt allow me to ride.

While they are turned out, I clean the stalls and feed the other horses (that are always outside). It is just really frusterating. Im hoping to ride this weekend but we will have to see how the weather is.

riding is exercise. Ride first then turn them out and do stalls in the dark, hopefully there is a light good luck

LOL.. I know what you mean! Working nights has purposed to be quite a challenge!

Aside from working 12-14 hours a day, my days off are the days I spend catching up on a lot I need to when I am working! Getting off at 6:30am, running out to feed mine, do minor clean up then racing into bed to get some sleep, followed by waking up, getting ready for work, dashing out and cleaning and feeding again, then be to work by 5:30pm, can really crimp any fun time! Not to mention its been blizzarding out here!

I am biting my tongue until retirement... in 17years! LOL!

I was going to clean stalls then ride today... I got up there and it started snowing pretty hard. After everything was cleaned out we at a few inches on the ground and it was starting to get windy. So I left (since it is a longer drive)... it isnt worth getting caught up in a storm. Im just excited for summer...lol Thanks
