    that's pretty funny. I guess that grin is our universal sign of achievement. It's too bad we're all over the world. It would be very fun to have a big HF riding party and share our stories with people who understand us!

    Congrats! I know the exact feeling! :) Just like when I rode my boy last Sunday after a loooong vacation (except for a few lazy trail rides in between - our arena was out of use for a couple of months because of weather/footing, before there were two abscesses, etc...) and we had been training contact and flexing previously. He had the tendency of leaning on hands and being stiff, stiff, stiff. So after I had warmed him up on a loose rein, I offered him contact...and he accepted it instantly and with softness, and we did lots of good flexing, circles and straightness, all on the same, soft contact at walk and trot! I was SO happy for him and this breakthrough I could jump up and down around him all day long! :)
